How To Help Your Lymphatic System

Your body’s lymphatic system is a major part of your immune system. It is an interconnected network made up of lymph nodes, ducts, vessels, capillaries, lymphatic tissues and lymphoid organs such as the spleen, tonsils, and the thymus. It’s function is to transport lymph fluid to the circulatory system. The body’s lymphatic system is responsible for producing immune cells which produce antibodies.

The cells in the lymph are produced by the thymus and bone marrow. Throughout this interconnected system are lymph nodes which is where the white blood cells fight infection and disease. The lymphatic system also controls the fluids in the body, by keeping them in balance. When  it is not functioning properly, lymphedema occurs where fluid builds in the tissues causing swelling. Lymphoma is a serious disease which develops in the lymphatic system itself and describes a group of cancers. The lymphatic system plays a critical role in fighting cancers in the body.

The active phytochemicals found in the rind of the mangosteen fruit can play a critical role in helping the lymphatic system for many reasons. The high concentration of more than 60 xanthones are anti-bacterial, anti-virus, and anti-fungal for starters. Due to the fact that most sickness and major disease has at it’s core free radical damage which causes low grade inflammation, these xanthones are also powerful natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatory. The active phytochemicals are also shown to help modulate the immune system as a result of these inherent properties.

Mangosteen in essence is important as it can provide a solid foundation for wellness. Stopping disease before it has a chance to get a foothold in the body makes so much sense, by eradicating it’s primary nesting ground as it occurs. Many people need additional nutritional supplementation as well, as we don’t often get it from over processed foods we consume. Environmental factors and stress add to the burden. Our body needs help in fighting all of this. The lymphatic system is the body’s primary system for spreading cancer in the body. It is crucial that this system functions at it’s optimum. Help your body’s lymphatic system with mangosteen.
