Immune response is how the immune mechanisms in your body respond to foreign and or potentially dangerous substances that enter the body. The immune system recognizes antigens, which are usually proteins. These antigens can be found in bacteria, fungi, or viruses and are found on the surface of cells. They can also be found in drugs (even prescription drugs), other chemicals and other foreign objects, such as particles entering the body though a cut. Antigens may also enter the body through the nasal passage, the digestive system, or permeate the skin (without being a cut or by accidental injury).

Mangosteen May Boost Your Immune System

Your immune system and what part the mangosteen fruit may play in it’s aid I believe are misconceived by many. I keep hearing in the health and wellness circles that the mangosteen fruit is an immune system booster. My research shows no basis for this claim. I would like to think that this is not so much that people are  trying to misrepresent, but just don’t have the proper knowledge. I consult with a number of board certified physicians and other experts for my research and understanding of the mangosteen fruit and the roles it plays in relation to our health.
