Omega 3 Causes Tinnitus? – Not Normally

There seems to be a a fair amount of inquiries on the Internet regarding whether or not Omega 3 causes Tinnitus or “ringing in the ears”. I did a good bit of research on the subject and found no evidence to support that it does. Tinnitus is a symptom, not a disease and may be caused by many things. It can caused by an extreme physical change, an obvious one being subjected to  a loud noise, whether a one time incident or a prolonged situation from a job, loud equipment etc.

Woman Later in Aging Process

The Importance of  Aging Properties of Antioxidants

The aging or  more correctly termed anti-aging properties of antioxidants vary greatly and work in different ways within the body. Antioxidants can slow the progression of aging which shows up as “oxidative stress”, a number of neurodegenerative diseases, and so forth. Aging may be something we see in a person or do not see as it takes place inside the body on a cellular level. Good examples would be the beginning stages of Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, heart disease, cancer and more.

Is Mangosteen Safe?

Physician's Advice on Safe Health Supplements

Is Mangosteen Safe? Find Out!

People who have never heard of mangosteen often ask me, is mangosteen safe? My answer is yes. There are just a few exceptions I’ve run across, and please note, this is regarding “pure mangosteen”. In rare instances, some people are allergic to it. The way you can tell is that you develop itchiness, sometimes severe. One option is to stop taking the supplement for 2 weeks, and then try again, cutting the dosage in half. The only other known health risk is if you are taking Coumadin, or Crystalline warfarin sodium, it is a blood thinner or anti- coagulant, often used in heart patients. Please consult your physician if you are taking Coumadin and are considering taking a mangosteen supplement.

Mangosteen Recommended by Dr. Oz

Fresh mangosteen fruit - a look inside

Mangosteen in in fact recommended by DR. Oz. Let me be clear here, Dr. Oz Does Not recommend or endorse any particular brand or company. I saw a recent TV clip where he recommended mangosteen as a # 3 food / supplement that can offer good health benefits.

Number one on his list was consuming the purple sweet potato, having the highest antioxidant potency over other sweet potatoes. In other sweet potatoes and yams, the deeper the yellow or orange color, the higher the concentration of beta carotene. Number 2 was Omega 3, especially DHA. He mentioned that in his personal regimen of supplements was a good quality multi-vitamin from a large company, a calcium, preferably 1000 mg and again Omega 3, the DHA Omega 3.

Does Mangosteen Have any Nutritional Value?

Good Nutrional Value

Does Mangosteen Have Any Nutritional Value?

That’s a good question, does Mangosteen have any nutritional Value?
The answer is yes, but not a great deal, but nutritional value is not the main reason for a person to consume this supplement.. The fruit is delicious, being described as tasting something like a cross between a peach, pineapple, and some say strawberry with hints of a vanilla ice cream flavor. Fresh Mangosteen fruit is extremely hard to find in the U.S, and usually very pricey. The fruit is small, and by the time you get the fruit out of the rind, and each segment usually contains a seed, their is not much left to eat.

Mangosteen for Sinus Problems

Mangosteen for Sinus Problems – Benefits

There are a variety of reasons why it makes sense to try Mangosteen for sinus problems and sinus infections. Two of the properties of the fruit are that is has anti- bacterial and anti-fungal properties, and anti-allergenic properties. I personally have numerous customers that have had great success using Mangosteen supplementation for asthma, but in all truth that this may be a somewhat different issue. The good news of course is that if this supplement helps your sinus issues, you may be able to avoid anti-histamines, steroid nasal sprays,  corticosteroids, and decongestants, whether prescription or over the counter.

Mangosteen Detox – Does it Work?

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

Mangosteen Detox – How Does It Work?

That would be an unquestionable yes, mangosteen detox works, and works well. Medicine and science agree that free radical damage in our bodies is where most sickness and disease find their nesting ground, then leading to chronic low grade inflammation and the trouble takes off from there. It is said that on a daily basis approximately 500,000 cells in our body and 50,00 new cells generate, which of course part of the aging process.

Save Our Health Supplements – Block This Bill!

As someone who believes in dietary supplements, you may
have heard of some of the ongoing attempts by the drug
companies and the FDA to oppress and restrict our access
to the supplements we wish to consume.

Ever since the 1994 Dietary Supplement Health Education Act
(DSHEA) – a huge victory for folks like us – the powers that
be have tried to overturn or otherwise weaken that law.

The Ultimate Acai Berry Product

Acai, sometimes pronounced (Ah-sigh-ee) is a berry and has been around a long time, actually thousands of years. It is indigenous of the Amazon rain forests. Acai has been used by people in the Amazon region for as long it has existed. After a lot of study of the health benefits it offers, we have decided to include it as product on the mangsteen site. Taken together, they work synergistically in the body and compliment each other extremely well. It wasn’t until the 1900′s that acai was introduced into the western world.
